FORT WORTH, Texas The Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) recently named Just Right Readers decodable books for grades K-2 as approved instructional materials for both English and Spanish phonics. After undergoing the SBOE-governed Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) process, these literacy resources were found to meet 100 percent of the applicable Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) state standards and 100 percent Phonics Rule Compliance (Chapter 74).
