When I facilitate blended learning workshops, I ask participants to think about these three roles and identify the role they spend the most time and energy in. Blended learning can help! When I work with schools that have already adopted the UDL framework, they immediately recognize how blended learning can help teachers to implement many of the principles of UDL more effectively. I believe that blended learning models can make putting UDL into practice more manageable. Engagement. Self-Regulation.

Since it was my first teaching experience, I assumed that my role as an instructor was to stand in the front of the room and regurgitate these same notes to my middle school students.
