These two platforms offer significant advantages for setting up assignments, announcements, grades, etc., Canvas is an excellent tool for publishing announcements, organizing, collecting all your assignments, and providing a communication line with students ( i.e., emails). yet they have limitations.

Depending on the size of the class and how often you meet, you could assign students one or two cogen sessions for 30 to 60 minutes. Currently, I am using cogen in a graduate level research methods course. I currently have 16 students in the course and four opportunities for them to participate in a cogen dialogue.
