In 2024, both Oklahoma and Wisconsin lowered what it means for students to be proficient in grade-level content. That means students this year did not need to achieve the same mastery of knowledge and skills as kids in previous years. It also will lead to more students at all levels of educational achievement needing remedial help.

In this new phase of collaboration, educators, and students in grades 7-12 across PPS will receive access to Discovery Education’s Pivot Interactives service. Following a review of potential solutions, PPS selected Discovery Education’s Pivot Interactives service for use with students in grades 7-12.

Adding IXL Language Arts to the list ensures that eligible local education agencies across the state can request reimbursement for purchasing the platform to enhance early literacy instruction. IXL is currently used by 20 percent of students in Missouri, accounting for more than 210,000 students.

As part of the collaboration, the state’s second-largest K-12 school system will now use IXL’s award-winning platform district-wide to boost academic achievement in math, English language arts, science, social studies and Spanish. IXL also provides test preparation skill plans and personalized study plans for the SAT and ACT.
